The most common strategies involve using upgraded auctions (featured, highlighted, and bolded) and “no reserve” auctions to pull in visitors for your other auctions.
While this should not be a clear loss-leader scenario, that is often a good framework to keep in mind when creating a varied eBay inventory. Some products simply will not bring in a profit – but they may be able to lure visitors into checking out your auctions.
